EXTON, PA, January 8, 2026 – West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. (NYSE: WST), a global leader in innovative solutions for injectable drug administration, today announced it is expanding its contract manufacturing network with the addition of a manufacturing site located in Greenfield, Indiana.
The new site property was selected for its existing manufacturing infrastructure, which enables a more efficient startup and positions West to better respond to growing customer demand, maximizing its current network while adding new capabilities.
West’s contract manufacturing business is focused on servicing the needs of healthcare companies by helping to develop and commercialize medical devices, drug delivery systems, and combination products with a single-source solution from product conceptualization through manufacturing and final packaging, including drug handling and packaging capabilities.
The new facility represents a significant commitment to the company’s future and the local community. As the plant’s operations ramp up over the next few years, West expects to create over 300 new high-quality jobs in manufacturing, quality, engineering, automation, and support functions. “Indiana offers an ideal environment for growth—with a strong manufacturing base, a talented workforce, and a welcoming community,” said Aileen Ruff-Patry, President of West Contract Manufacturing. “We’re excited to be expanding here, creating new jobs, and partnering with local organizations to make a positive impact in the region.”
Aileen Ruff-Patry also praised the collaboration and support from local and state government partners in helping make the move into Indiana possible. “From our earliest discussions, the cooperation we’ve received from the State, the City of Greenfield and the Hancock Economic Development Council has been outstanding, reflecting a genuine commitment to forging a strong and lasting partnership,” she said. “Their shared commitment to economic growth made Indiana the clear choice for our expansion, and we’re proud to be part of a community that values partnership and progress.”
Indiana Governor Mike Braun stated, "This investment will bring more than 300 high-paying jobs to a state that leads the nation in advanced manufacturing, life sciences, and logistics. Indiana's capable workforce and strong business environment continue to attract world-class companies like West. I am glad to see West join the Hoosier economy and look forward to witnessing their long-term success here.”
"I look forward to the relationship the City of Greenfield will have with West," Greenfield Mayor Guy Titus said. "Having this first-class company become a part of our community will be a tremendous opportunity for us. West makes products people depend on while creating cutting-edge jobs, and we are thrilled to be recognized as a place where pioneering, life-changing industries want to invest and grow. Our economic development team has done a great job securing another high-profile company providing positive development and growth for Greenfield’s future."
"Project Crossroads–as we have called the West project–is an exciting addition to our manufacturing, distribution, and commercial portfolio," Greenfield City Councilman Dan Riley said. "Pharmaceutical manufacturing is an innovative field that communities compete fiercely to land, and Greenfield is proud to be a destination for a company building the future of global health. West is a community-minded company that wants not to just have a facility here, but be a part of the City as we continue on our path of quality growth. We look forward to their coming to 989 Opportunity Parkway in 2026."
The move also supports West’s strategic goal of growing alongside its customers, many of whom are expanding their pharmaceutical operations across the Midwest. The Indiana location provides a central and connected base from which to serve those customers efficiently and reliably.
