Grants available for community, workforce development

Attention organizations and businesses served by NineStar Connect electric!

The Wabash Valley Power Alliance, of which NineStar is a member, is offering funding to support local community and workforce development and is currently accepting applications now through the end of March for the following grants.

Community Support Grant: This grant is to conduct comprehensive studies and community development projects to foster sustainable economic development through strategic investments. You can receive up to $5,000 from this grant. The grant is open to organizations based in or doing projects in communities served by WVPA member electric distribution co-ops.

Automation Workforce Grant: This grant offers funding to local businesses to support training existing or newly hired employees to transition to new technology. Your qualifying business can receive up to $15,000. The grant is open to businesses served by WVPA member electric distribution co-ops.
