Anna Voorhis joined the Hancock Economic Development Council as its Operations Manager in February 2023, bringing a background of over 14 years with Hancock County government as well as experience in the fields of journalism and insurance. She worked for the New Palestine Press for about eight years, including as its Advertising Manager and Editor. Anna then worked as a licensed insurance agent before transitioning to County government, beginning in the Auditor’s Office, holding positions including Deputy Auditor and Accounts Payable Supervisor. After that, she spent several years as Registrar for the Vital Records Division at the Hancock County Health Department. Outside the office, Anna enjoys spending time with family, food, cooking, and writing. She has lived in Hancock County for 24 years, and her favorite part about it is the people.
