The Hancock Economic Development Council (HEDC) is pleased to welcome Rural Strategies Group as its newest member.

Rural Strategies Group is a communications and public affairs firm focused on helping organizations effectively engage with rural communities. The firm specializes in public policy strategy, public relations, and media relations, with an emphasis on building trust and delivering messages that resonate at the local level. Jonathan Lawler, Founder of Rural Strategies Group, will represent the firm on the HEDC.
Lawler founded the firm after years of experience working at the intersection of agriculture, communications, and public policy. His work has included partnerships with national brands and organizations, as well as collaboration with state and local leaders on a range of initiatives. He has also been recognized for his contributions to agricultural advocacy and food access efforts, including national recognition for his role in expanding fresh food distribution to food banks.
