Officials celebrated the ongoing development of the Amplify Hancock Innovation Center in Hancock County, Indiana with a beam signing on Wednesday.

The facility is under construction at the northwest corner of CR 200W and CR 300N, where it will accommodate training and educational needs for employers, schools, and adult learners. Slated to open in July 2026, it will initially span about 100,000 square feet and is expected to grow throughout its future.

HEDC Executive Director Randy Sorrell, right, signs a beam for the Amplify Hancock Innovation Center alongside HEDC Board Member and New Palestine Community Schools Director of Student Learning and Communications Craig Smith.

Hancock County’s four school corporations are involved in Amplify Hancock, and will bring workforce training curriculums for high school students to the facility as a part of the new Hancock County Career Center (HC3). Ivy Tech Community College will provide career education to high school students there as well.

Amplify Hancock will also offer adult education, with possibilities spanning from interesting curriculum to degree and certificate programs.

Additionally, employers will have a presence at the facility for equipping their employees with the skills they’ll need to succeed.

Programming is envisioned to include radiology, aviation, welding, and career development, among others.
