The most effective people are those who understand their strengths and behaviors, according to many years of research conducted by The Gallup Organization.

Thanks to an event hosted by the HEDC led by Ground Rules Coaching, multiple professionals who are part of Hancock County’s business community are able to boost their effectiveness after learning so much more about strengths and behaviors of their own.

The experience began long before the event on June 27th, 2025, with participants taking a survey from The Gallup Organization revealing their five most dominant themes of talent so they can build them into strengths and enjoy success.

Participants then gathered at the Hancock County Public Library to learn from Laura Hayes of Ground Rules Coaching. The event drew attendees from the fields of business, workforce, and community development; human resources; healthcare; education; government; marketing; and more.

Hayes, who has taught in the Indiana warehousing community since 2015 and has a Master's Degree from Butler University in Teaching and Leadership, discussed a variety of topics during the two-hour workshop on maximizing strengths. Small-group discussions interspersed throughout the event also helped attendees understand their own strengths better as well as those of others.

The HEDC is grateful for Ground Rules Coaching offering the workshop and for the attendees who participated.
