An Overview of the Indiana SRM Platform and the Purdue MEP Supply Chain Impact Program

Indiana manufacturers continue to navigate a volatile supply chain environment marked by persistent cost pressures, dynamic geopolitical landscapes, and unpredictable supply disruptions. To help and support manufacturers successfully manage these challenges, Purdue MEP has the capability to:

  • Provide Indiana manufacturers with skills to elevate your supply chain team’s performance
  • Manage your supply base more effectively via a technology platform
  • Assist Small and medium-sized manufacturers (SMMs) search for new or alternative suppliers

In this one-hour webinar, we will Introduce the Purdue MEP Supply Chain Impact Program designed to help small manufacturers tackle current supply chain challenges by equipping them with the skills, tools, and strategies needed to optimize supplier relationships, manage costs, improve inventory planning and control, and enhance supply chain resilience.

We will describe the Indiana SRM (Supply Relationship Management) platform, a technology driven solution geared for small and mid-sized manufacturers. Powered by Sustainment, this solution helps manufacturers manage their supply chain, communicate with, collaborate with, manage performance, and identify new suppliers. As a Public Benefit Corporation, Sustainment has built this SRM to fulfill their mission to helping American manufacturers competitively thrive.

We will also describe the MEPNN (MEP National Network) Supplier Scouting process and showcase how it can potentially help you identify additional suppliers. Searching for new or alternative suppliers, in general, is a discovery process.  As part of the MEP National Network (MEPNN), Purdue is linked to MEP Centers across the U.S. as well as to a NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) database of manufacturing companies.

Overall, effectively and efficiently managing supply performance, building supplier relationships, and navigating supply chain risks are all important in supply chain management. With the Supply Chain Impact Program, the Purdue MEP helps manufacturers improve their supply chain and contribute value to their respective organizations.

Intended Audience: Supply chain professionals, including supply chain leaders, purchasing managers, supply chain category managers, buyers, planners, and others who work in supply chain management.
