Erica Adams has served as Community Development Manager for the Hancock Economic Development Council since October 2023. She earned her Certified Economic Developer credential in 2025. In her life prior to joining HEDC, Erica spent her career in the community development world; working with non-profit consultants and organizations to assist teams of all sizes from neighborhood associations to statewide agencies on projects such as strategic planning, board development, housing strategy development, and marketing/outreach strategies. Erica earned a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University, Bloomington, where she majored in Folklore and Ethnomusicology, and really developed her love of working with communities and helping them find the path that helps that specific community thrive. While at HEDC, Erica uses her skills and knowledge in public affairs, project planning, community and stakeholder engagement, and quantitative research, to name a few. She currently lives in Indianapolis with her son Alex, daughter Guinevere, and dachshund Bolt.
