As Communications Director, Mitchell Kirk tells the HEDC’s story in a variety of ways, including news releases, social media, and podcasting. After growing up in Michigan and North Dakota, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from St. John’s University in Queens, New York and worked as a newspaper reporter for 10 years in Indiana before joining the HEDC in 2023. He is proud and excited to live in Buck Creek Township--one of Hancock County's fastest developing areas--and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Hancock County Chamber of Commerce, Greenfield Central School Foundation, and Talitha Koum Women's Recovery House. Additionally, he serves on the Community Foundation of Hancock County's Thrive Committee and Vibrant Communities Committee, and enjoys volunteering at Greenfield-Hancock Animal Management.
